Caroline Wilde

PAID OBITUARY

Caroline Anna Wilde (nee Witte) passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019.  She was 89 years young.  She experienced a brief hospital stay and passed away due to complications from pneumonia.
Caroline was born in a farmhouse in the Town of Grafton on Oct. 21, 1929, to William and Alma (nee Hahn) Witte.  
Caroline retired from St. Alphonsus Hospital in 1994.  
After retirement, she enjoyed the sunshine outside working in her yard and flower garden, as well as boating with family at Legend Lake. When indoors, she loved crocheting and spending time at the Senior Center and volunteering at Cedar Lake Community Campus. Caroline took part in bus trips, including trips to Reno, Nev., and other area casinos.  
In the last few years, Caroline spent a lot of time with her daughter Sharon.  Their time together was cherished, whether it was going out to lunch or running errands.
Her holiday meals were a family favorite and will be missed.  
Above all, Caroline enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.       
Caroline is survived by her children Jim (Diane) Wilde and Sharon (Kim) Anton; grandchildren Tina (Joe) Zuraw, Angela (Adam) Driewer, Lisa (Tony) Nguyen and Michelle (Grant) Chenok; great-grandchildren Teagan, Finan, Rhyeland and Aynsleigh; sister Eleanore Wilde; and brother-in-law Lawrence Wilde.  
Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl Wilde and siblings Ervin Witte, Esther Penkwitz, Adolf Witte, Albert Witte, Arnold Witte and William Witte.      
A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at 6 p.m. at Freidens Church, 454 N. Milwaukee St., Port Washington. Pastor Brandon Lemons will officiate.  
The family will receive visitors from 4 p.m. until the service at 6 p.m.  
Caroline’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Aurora Medical Center of Grafton team for the hard work and dedication put towards her final care.
