Buddy basket drive to help homeless vets
Horicon Bank is conducting a buddy basket drive throughout April to benefit homeless veterans who are moving into permanent or transitional housing.
Items needed include Clorox wipes, toilet brushes, window cleaner, plungers, laundry soap and small bottles of bleach, small garbage cans, dryer sheets, wood polish or wipes, all-purpose cleaner, air fresheners, garbage bags, paper towels, shower curtains and curtain rings, mops, brooms, Swiffer mops and pads.
The bank, formerly Cornerstone Community Bank, will give the buddy baskets to the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative for distribution.
Collections are taking place at the bank’s Grafton branch, 2090 Wisconsin Ave., and its Menomonee Falls location at N91 W17231 Appleton Ave.
