The beer and food selection will be more robust at the Belgium Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Brew & Chew fundraiser this year.

The event will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, at a new location, Memories Ballroom in the Town of Port Washington.

“We have a variety of great new beverages this year,” Chamber Director of Marketing Tara Williams said.

New breweries include Alaskan Brewery, Hinterland Brewery of Green Bay and Cigar City Brewery of Florida. One of the Chamber’s newest members, Inventor’s Brewpub of Port Washington, will also be offering brews.

A fermented malt beverage table will be added this year and offer drinks such as Smirnoff’s Hard Seltzers, Smirnoff Screwdrivers and Schofferhofer, and a liquor table with one sample each of gin bourbon, whiskey and brandy.

New food vendors are Memories and Kyotes Bar and Grill. Among the returning favorites from last year are Seven Hills Pub & Grill, Tello’s, Cupcake-A-Rhee and Broadway Popcorn.

The duo Bella Musik will perform easy-listening acoustic music. Raffle prizes will be held as well.

Money from the event goes to support local businesses, revitalization and tourism efforts and community events such as Belgium Summer Nights Live, Splash Pad Sunday, the Belgium Easter Egg Hunt and Belgium’s European Christmas.

Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at the event’s presenting sponsor, Port Washington State Bank, and Belgium Village Hall, Plus Group Financial, Iron Hog Saloon, Kyotes Bar & Grill and Stepping Stones. Tickets may also be purchased at www.belgiumareachamber.org or on the Chamber’s Facebook page. Advance ticket holders get in at 5:30 p.m.

If available, tickets will be sold at the door for $25 starting at 6 p.m. The event runs until 9 p.m.

Williams encourages people to buy tickets early since last year’s event sold out and some people were turned away.
