Bob and Margie Schinker

Bob and Margie Schinker of West Bend will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 15.

There will be a blessing of the couple during a Mass at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church in West Bend, followed by a celebration in the parish gym.

Bob Schinker of Port Washington and Margie Lanser of Fredonia were married on Sept. 13, 1969, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Fredonia.

Mr. Schinker worked at Simplicity Manufacturing in Port Washington for 41 years, retiring in 2008.

His wife worked as the religious education coordinator for St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Parish in West Bend for 20 years.

The couple have five children, Brad (Chris) of Wausau, Kris (Glen) Allen of Germantown, Jenn (Curt) Noyes of Racine, Suzy (Ed) Weise of Campbellsport and Nicki (Tony) Gurrola of West Bend.

They also have 12 grandchildren, Alyssa, Paytan, Sara, Jake, Kate, Marina, Regan, Marisol, Olivia, Stella, Hector and Callen.
