Betty Voigt

Betty Voigt, 94, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022.

Betty was born on March 16, 1928, in Peoria, Ill., the daughter of the late Benjamin and Flossie Clymer Plattner.

She graduated from Eureka High School in Eureka, Ill.

She was united in marriage to Elwood R. “Woody” Voigt on Oct. 28, 1950, and together they raised three children, Ronald, Lori and Lynne.

Betty was a paralegal in Port Washington, Wis., before retiring in 1991.

She was a lifelong choir member at various churches in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Arkansas, along with musical ensembles and women’s choruses. She loved her music!

She leaves a son, Ronald A. and Sharon Leider Voigt of Port Washington; daughter Lynne and Robert A. Pfister of Sheboygan Falls; grandchildren Andrea Moeller-Donham, Lauralyn (Johnny) Daggett, Zach (KJ) Ehr, Anna (Josh) Flanders, Lauren Ehr, Ali Ehr, Corey (Melissa) Aponte and Bradley Aponte; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Woody and daughter Lori Ehr.

A celebration of life will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1808 Eastern Ave., Plymouth, on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at 1 p.m.

Relatives and friends may greet the family at church from noon until the service at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated in Betty’s name to the Stephanie Weill Center for the Performing Arts.

Betty’s family would like to extend their deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Pine Haven and Prairie Crossings and the St. Nicholas Hospice team led by Joyce.
