Baseball, fireworks get postponed

The Cedar Grove Belgium Athletic Association Fireworks Baseball Tournament and Belgium’s fireworks show were postponed last weekend due to rain.

The tournament will be held Friday through Sunday, July 30 to Aug. 1, and the fireworks will be held at Heritage Park at about 9:45 p.m. Saturday, July 31.

 The tournament is slated to include 23 teams in 10U, 12U and 14U divisions. Four teams are from Saukville and three are from Cedar Grove.

Games will be played at Community and Heritage parks in Belgium beginning at 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The 10U and 12U title games will be at  12:30 p.m. Sunday at Heritage Park. The 14U title game will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Community Park.

Concessions will be sold at both parks.

LACS to hold beer and wine garden July 9

The Luxembourg American Cultural Center will host a beer and wine garden from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, July 9, at 100 Peter Thein Ave.

Musician Ryan McIntyre will perform.

Admission is free. Food, Luxembourgish beer, wine and cider will be available for purchase.
