Arno W. Jobs

Arno Jobs of Saukville passed away in the evening hours of Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. He was 88 years old. 

Arno was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 17, 1933, the son of Reinhold Jobs and Emily Laubenstein Jobs.  

He grew up on the family farm in the Town of Saukville and graduated from Port Washington High School with the Class of 1950. 

After high school, Arno served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1954.

On Nov. 13, 1954, he married Edna Kringel at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Jackson.

Arno worked at Tecumseh Power Products in Grafton for more than 46 years. He was a proud member of Local IAM 1326 for more than 50 years. 

Arno was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington. 

He enjoyed playing sheepshead and fishing and was an avid recycler. 

Arno is survived by his six sons, Warren of Saukville, Jeffrey (Marilyn) of Blaine, Minn., Rodney (Lisa) of La Crosse, Dennis (Faye) of Appleton, Richard of Saukville and Thomas of Port Washington.  

He is further survived by 10 grandchildren, his brother Erhard (Barbara) Jobs of the Town of Saukville, his brother-in-law Franklin (Nancy) Kringel of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Edna, an infant son and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.  

Funeral services for Arno were celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, at noon at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 217 N. Freeman Dr., Port Washington. Pastor John Klieve presided over the service.  

Visitation took place at the church on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 10 a.m. until the services at noon.  

He was laid to rest next to his wife Edna in Union Cemetery in Port Washington.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington.
