Arlene McCraw

Arlene J. McCraw (nee Doers) passed away at her husband’s side on April 26, 2022, at her home in Port Washington. She was under the loving care of Horizon Hospice.
Arlene was born on Jan. 8, 1942, in Ontonagon, Mich., to parents Victor and Jesse Doers.
She was joined in holy marriage to Frederick McCraw on Sept. 9, 1957, in Iron Mountain, Mich. They remained in the area until moving to Chicago in 1962.
In 1969, Arlene and Frederick moved to Port Washington, where they raised their two children.
Arlene loved quilting and sewing and really enjoyed spending time outdoors in her home state of Michigan. Above all, Arlene enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arlene is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Fred; children Fred (Bonnie) McCraw and Jim (Anne) McCraw; grandchildren Terry, James, Kellie (Nevin) Seibel, Erin, Cole, Natalie and Claire McCraw; and great-grandchildren Pearl, Destinee, Logan, Morgan, Mia and Addison.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Vernon, Victor, Allan and Ruth.
The family will be having a small gathering to celebrate Arlene’s life at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Horizon Hospice caregivers for their loving care and support.
