Area Scout leaders honored for their contributions

Several area Scouting America leaders were honored during a recent event in Cedarburg. From left: Valerie Himsl of Port Washington, advancement chair of Pack 3837, received the Square Knot Award. Cliff Polheber of Saukville, skipper of Sea Scout Ship 7992, which is sponsored by Port Washington Yacht Club, received the Sea Scout Skipper of the Year award. Cal Thomas of Saukville, den leader of Pack 3837, received the Webelos Den Leader of the Year award. Tom Roehrig of Grafton, life-to Eagle Scout coordinator of Troop 855, received the Rookie of the Year award. Bill Winker of Port Washington, assistant Scoutmaster in Troop 855, received the Distinguished Service Award.
