ARCA racers coming to Slinger’s 75th season opener

The Automobile Racing Club of America Midwest Tour will make its first visit to Slinger Super Speedway on Sunday, April 24, as part of the track’s 75th season opener.
A pair of 30-lap showdown features will set the stage for the Tour cars vs. Slinger cars 75-lap, $5,000 to Win Finale.
“We have been working to find the right time and right event to make this a reality.” Slinger Super Speedway owner Todd Thelen said. “Every season fans ask me when we are going to have a tour event and the drivers started asking as well.”
The season-opening event for both Slinger and Tour drivers will award championship points for each entity, and the winner is likely to leave as the point leader in both standings.
Super late models will be split and inverted into an even and odd showdown feature based on their qualifying speeds, with the top 10 finishers advancing to the 75-lap Miracle on the High Banks finale.
The 24-car starting field will be completed with point provisionals from Slinger and Tour 2021 standings. Joining the super late models during the one-day event are the pro late models, modifieds, sportsman, Slinger Bees and American super cups contesting their feature races.
Gates will open at 10 a.m. with qualifying at 12:05 p.m. and races slated to start at 2 p.m.. Advance discount tickets are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors (62 and older) and $10 for students (10 to 17). Race day admission prices are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors and $12 for students. Children ages 9 and younger are admitted free.
