Anna Lanser
Mrs. Anna Lanser, a lifelong resident of Port Washington, passed away peacefully in the morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, at Lincoln Village, where she had been a resident. She was 89 years old.
Anna Christina (Becker) Lanser was born on July 27, 1930, in Port Washington, Wis., the daughter of Elmer Peter and Margaret Anna (Lorge) Becker.

On May 13, 1950, Anna married Gregory Nicholas Lanser at St. Mary’s Church in Port Washington.
Greg and Anna began raising their family at 116 East Woodruff St. until they built their family home a few doors away at 136 East Woodruff St. Even though Anna has made her home at Lincoln Village for the past couple years, the house on Woodruff Street remains the family home.
Anna was a lifetime, active member of St. Mary’s Parish, now part of St. John XXIII Parish. She was a member of the Christian Women, a church greeter, a volunteer and contributed in numerous ways to many church social functions.
Anna enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of several bridge clubs. She also enjoyed playing sheepshead, bowling, playing bingo, and going to the casino.
Anna also enjoyed doing ceramics. She hand-painted plates for her grandchildren, as well as ceramic Easter eggs, angels and other mementos for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Anna also liked to travel and spend time with her husband and family at their cabin on Cranberry Lake in Eagle River, Wis.
Above all, Anna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her love and dedication to her family was selfless and unconditional. She always put her family and their needs above her own. The decision and commitment to be a mother was one Anna did not take lightly. Her life was spent pursuing the well-being and happiness of her children.
She had a very strong faith in God and unwavering devotion to the Blessed Mother. She was a very humble and Christian woman always serving the Lord.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
