Allen Mullins

Allen T. Mullins, 72, died at his Saukville home on Sunday, Dec. 16.

Mr. Mullins was born in Green Bay on Feb. 2, 1946, to Dennis and Florence Flarherty Mullins. His family moved to Saukville in 1958 and he graduated from Port Washington High School in 1965.

Mr. Mullins worked for Mercury Marine in Cedarburg and then in Fond du Lac, retiring after 37 years. He also worked in concessions with his brother Tom at County Stadium and Miller Park, both in Milwaukee, for 48 years.

In 1999, Mr. Mullins married Hope Holland at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Saukville. The couple enjoyed traveling to the east and west coasts as well as the southern states. A cruise in the Caribbean was their favorite memory.         

For several years, Mr. Mullins and his wife organized a Christmas party for fellow ballpark employees at Mo’s Irish Pub in Wauwatosa.

Mr. Mullins enjoyed telling jokes, listening to country music, fixing cars and attending car shows. His family said he always made sure his daughters-in-law had their cars in great shape.

Mr. Mullins was a long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton.

His wife said Mr. Mullins also enjoyed the companionship of his cairn terrier Charlie.

Mr. Mullins is survived by his wife Hope of Saukville; stepsons Todd (Jamee) Holland of Saukville, Aaron (Deb) Holland of Sturgeon Bay and Eric (Amy) Holland of the Town of Erin.

He is further survived by grandchildren Tony Holland, Tera (Matt) Bienlein, and  Emma, Karise and Liam Holland; two great-grandchildren; brother Robert of Ypsilanti, Mich.; sister-in-law Wanda Mullins of Lansing, Mich.; and brother-in-law Arthur (Sally) Campbell of Port Washington.

Mr. Mullins was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Mike, Gerry, Pat and Tom, and sisters-in-law Ruth and Carol Mullins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton.  

Visitation will be at the church Saturday from 9 a.m. until the service.

Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Morrison.  

Memorials to the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Foundation are suggested.
