All aboard for Christmas fun

Children from throughout the area hopped aboard the Polar Express and rode it to John Long Middle School in Grafton Saturday for a morning of holiday fun. Among the children who wrote letters to Santa was 8-year-old Elyn Dandoy, whose work was check by the train conductor (top left). Ginny Somogji, 2, enjoyed a cookie while sitting on her mother Emily’s lap (top right) and Kayella and Noah Stewart posed with an inflatable Santa (above left). Helping at the event were a group of jolly elves (from left) Mia Blum, Payton Wysocki, Madelynne Knapp and Brooklyn Loose. The annual event is organized by the parks and recreation departments of Grafton, Port Washington and Cedarburg. Photos by Sam Arendt
