Alan Hamm

PAID OBITUARY

Alan S. Hamm, age 35, of Fredonia, found peace at his home with family and friends at his side after a courageous, 18-month battle with cancer on Friday, Oct. 11, 2019.

Alan was born Sept. 30, 1984, in Port Washington.

He grew up in Fredonia, attending Rosemary School and Ozaukee High School.

For many years, Alan worked with his uncles on the Sandy Loam Farm in the Town of Saukville. He also worked in the landscaping industry.

Alan was an avid outdoorsman who also enjoyed working with his hands. He enjoyed watching all Wisconsin sporting teams with his friends and family members. In his spare time, hunting and fishing with family and friends were a must. He recently took up drawing and sketching during his treatments. He appreciated the support from his vast family and many friends. Spending time with his daughter was most important to him.

He is survived by his daughter Blake and her mother Analiese Zane of Port Washington; his mom Teri (Scott Hollrith) Simms of Fredonia; his brothers Will Simms of Sheboygan, James Simms of Oshkosh, Josh (Emma Hess) Simms of Fredonia and Shawn (Kadee Beinlien) Simms of Port Washington; and his grandparents Joseph and Betty Hamm of Fredonia.

He is further survived by his aunts and uncles Bill (Cathy) Hamm of Fredonia, Deb Hamm of Holy Cross, Don (Diane) Hamm, Jane (David) Robinson, Rick Hamm and Randy (Mary) Hamm, all of Fredonia, cousins, nieces and nephews, other family and friends.

Alan was preceded in death by his uncles Joe and John Hamm.

His life will be celebrated with a Mass at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, at Divine Savior Parish-Holy Cross Chapel, 5331 Hwy. B, Belgium (Holy Cross). Father Gideon Buya will be the celebrant.

Visitation will take place from 3 to 6:15 p.m. Friday at the chuch prior to Mass.

Interment will be at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Fredonia on Saturday.
