‘Mary Poppins Returns’ to be shown July 5

“Mary Poppins Returns” will kick off the Friday Night Flicks movie in the park series in Port Washington’s Veterans Memorial Park at dusk on Friday, July 5.

The movie had been scheduled for June 28, but inclement weather forecasts resulted in its postponement.

Those attending are asked to bring blankets and chairs.

Popcorn, soft drinks and candy will be available for purchase starting at 7 p.m.

Portview Church will have free hot dogs and water.

There will be free temporary tattoos for children as well, and a drawing for a Mary Poppins themed prize basket. To register, like and share the event on the department’s Facebook page. The winner will be announced before the film and must be present to win.

The next Friday Night Flick, “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World,” will be held at dusk July 19 at Pirate’s Hollow Community Waterpark.

Open swim and activities will start at 6:30 p.m.

Those attending may bring an inflatable to float on or watch from the pool deck.

Regular pool admission rates will be charged.

The final Friday Night Flick of the summer, “The Incredibles 2,” will be held at dusk Friday, Aug. 23, at Veterans Park.
