‘Low-key’ open house to be held Sunday

The Port Washington police and fire departments will hold an open house from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10.

“It’s going to be very low-key,” Fire Chief Mark Mitchell said, noting all activities will be held outside due to the pandemic.

The annual pancake breakfast won’t be part of this year’s activities due to the pandemic, Mitchell said.

But the department will hold its truck rides, ladder truck basket rides, a scuba demonstration and other activities for families, he said. The police department will also host a number of family friendly activities.
