‘Everybody cut footloose’

The classic music and dancing of the musical “Footloose” will have Port Washington High School’s Performing Arts Center rocking this week. The Port Summer Theatre production will be staged Thursday through Saturday, July 21 to 23. Starring in the show are (held in front) Jazzy Cannon as Urleen, (front row from left) Shelby Fish as Ariel, Abby Paul as Wendy Jo, Briana Ratay as Rusty, (back row) Gavin Muller as Ren and Roman Cira as Willard. The musical tells the story of Ren, a Chicago native who moves to Texas with his mother only to find rock music and dancing are banned in their new hometown and embarks on a quest to overturn the law so the teens can hold a senior prom. Tickets for the show are $10 through Wednesday July 20, and $12 at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased at the Port Parks and Recreation Center, Drew’s True Value and online at portwashingtonwi.gov.
