Youth plein air contest to start on June 10

The Cedarburg Cultural Center will hold its 19th annual youth plein air art contest from June 10 to 22.

The contest is for people ages 17 and younger.

The contest begins at noon Friday, June 10.

Participants must return one completed work of art to the center by 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 22.

Complete rules and registration forms are available at the center, W62 N546 Washington Ave., or online at cedarburgculturalcenter.org/ypa-info-packet.

  The completed artwork will be exhibited at the center from Tuesday, June 24, to Sunday, July 10.

An awards ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 30.

Awards will be presented in each age category: 5 and younger; ages 6 to 8; ages 9 to 12; and ages 13 to 17.

A People’s Choice Award will also be given. People may vote on the artwork prior to June 30.

Youths may take their work home after July 10.

The center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.
