YOUR PIX: A pair of pelicans share a Port perch

Two white pelicans, members of a squadron of the large waterbirds that tarried on Port Washington waters in late May, seemed to be standing on the water when Alan Reynolds took this picture. Actually, they were standing on a submerged rock just offshore from a cottage Reynolds, who lives in Naples, Fla., was visiting. The pelicans were likely on their way to summer roosts on Green Bay and in the Horicon March. The birds, weighing as much as 16 pounds, are said to eat three pounds of fish per day.
