Young scientists present their findings

Seventh and eighth-grade students at St. John XXIII Catholic School in Port Washington spent a lot of time this semester studying how nature works, and earlier this month presented their findings during a science fair at the school. Clockwise from top left: Sawyer Lorier studied bioluminescence. Summer Wille (left) and Sierra Hoeft had Petri dishes and plenty of data to explain how bacteria grows. Lucy Kim measured algae growth and Jacob Althoff studied photosynthesis. Photos by Sam Arendt
