Winter hike at bog to be held on Feb. 5
A winter hike into the Cedarburg Bog in the Town of Saukville will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5.
Jim Reinartz, president of the Friends of the Cedarburg Bog, will lead the four-mile hike.
Weather or snow and ice conditions can make the hike challenging. If ice conditions are not safe, the group will hike the uplands instead.
The Field Station website at uwm.edu/field-station/ will be updated several days prior to the hike with snow and ice conditions.
The hike will be followed by a bonfire and hot cocoa and cider at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Field Station. Pparticipants shoould bring their own mug.
Pets are not allowed.

There is no fee but a $5 donation is suggested.
