Wine and Harvest Fest to be held in Cedarburg
The 48th annual Wine and Harvest Festival will be held in downtown Cedarburg from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 19.
“Art on the Avenue,” along Washington Avenue will feature juried artists displaying and selling their works.
The neighboring food court will showcase a wide variety of foods, including the traditional harvest apple brat and turkey cranberry wrap.
Live music will be featured throughout the festival, with groups such as Room to Move, Shut the Front Door and Solid Cedar performing.
The Last Bees, a Wisconsin band, will be the headliners on Saturday night, when the Main Stage is open until 8:30 p.m.
New to the festival this year is the Paramount Blues Bash, a blues festival and beer garden in Cedar Creek Park. It will feature popular blues artists including Ol Style Skratch, Too Sick Charlie and Alex Wilson.
The festival’s Henry’s Kids Korner for Kids will have a variety of activities geared for children, including bouncers, a barrel train and a petting zoo in Cedar Creek Park.
The traditional adult and kids grape stomp will be held twice a day at the Cedar Creek Settlement, and the Giant Pumpkin Charity Regatta will take place on Sunday when large floatable pumpkins, navigated by seasoned paddlers, attempt to cross Cedar Creek to win cash for their favorite charity.
The seventh annual Great Pumpkin Growers weigh-off will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Port Washington State Bank, and a farmers market will be held on Columbia Avenue.
Three marketplaces where local food products may be purchased will be located on Turner, Mill and Cleveland streets.
A tractor-pulled hayride will provide easy access around the festival grounds.
There will also be a 50/50 raffle to benefit Festivals of Cedarburg.
Although masks are not required, festival organizers encourage guests and vendors to social distance and wear masks, if desired.
