Water rate hike will go into effect in November

Customers of the Saukville Municipal Water Utility will see their rates go up 3% beginning in November.

The rate increase, which was approved by the Public Service Commission, means the average home will see its rate go up from $70.08 per quarter to $72.22 for 14,000 gallons used.

Commercial businesses will see an average increase from $133.77 to $137.88 for 30,000 gallons used.

Industrial businesses will see their rate for using 1.98 million gallons per quarter go from $5,054 to $5,207.

The new rates will go into effect Nov. 2.
