The Warren Kane American Legion Post will hold its annual Memorial Day observance Monday, May 31, at Veterans Park in Fredonia beginning at 9 a.m.

This year’s program will have an emphasis on America’s prisoners of war and those missing in action.

Guest speaker Steve Jagow will give a short talk on the life, military service and the POW experiences of his father, Norman Jagow, 96, who will be in attendance.

There will also be a tribute to the armed forces, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Women’s Auxiliary and area youth groups.

The program will have a rifle salute, and “Taps” will be performed.

The public is invited to attend, and people are asked to bring lawn chairs for seating in the park.
