A walk for their soles

Students at St. John XXIII Catholic School in Port Washington took part in the Soles Walk for Catholic Education on Friday, Oct. 2, walking from their school to the parish’s St. Mary’s Catholic Church and back again. More than 100 schools in the Milwaukee Archdiocese are participating in the event, with money raised at each school remaining with that school. The Oct. 2 event in Port kicked off a virtual Soles for Catholic Education walk that will be held Saturday, Oct. 17. The kickoff event raised more than $6,000 from students and parishioners, which will be supplemented by contributions from Saturday’s event.
