Volunteers are being sought for planting

Volunteers are needed to help plant trees at Saukville’s Tendick Park in recognition of Earth Day on Friday, April 22.

The Ozaukee County Planning and Parks Department is inviting volunteers to help with the planting. In exchange, helpers will receive a free lunch, explore local ecology, learn how to plant trees and receive a take home tree seedling.

The planting session will last from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Volunteers will meet at the east entrance parking area near the park’s archery range.

To sign up or for more information, email kroening@co.ozaukee.wi.us or call 236-2006.

The event is funded in part by an American Transmission Company Community Planting Program grant.
