Village, town board seats to be on ballot in spring election

Candidates are beginning to line up for next April’s municipal elections.

In the Village of Saukville, longtime Village President Barb Dickmann is up for re-election as are trustees Richard Belling, Joseph Caban and David Maglio.

Also taking out papers is challenger Keith Dickmann, a brother-in-law of Barb Dickmann.

In the Town of Saukville, the seat of town chairman, held by Don Hamm, and the two trustee seats held by Mike Denzien and Curt Rutkowski are open, as is the treasurer seat held by Gloria Arredando.

Candidacy papers are due to be returned to the respective municipal offices by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2.

Incumbents who do not seek re-election must file non-candidacy papers by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21. If they fail to do so, the deadline to submit nomination papers is extended by three days.

A primary, if necessary, will be held on Feb. 19.
