Village of Newburg to host Trunk-or-Treat on Halloween
As an alternative to traditional trick-or-treating, the Village of Newburg will partner with the Newburg Fire Department to host a Trunk-or-Treat night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31.
People are invited to drive to Fireman’s Park in Newburg, park and pop their trunk to share candy. Children will be able to help themselves and take candy from the trunks of cars.
Participants are asked to decorate their cars, pick-ups, hatchbacks or SUVs, arrive by 5 p.m. and pass out pre-wrapped candy.
Those wanting to give out candy at Trunk or Treat are asked to pre-register by calling 323-6585.
Each participating vehicle will receive a number and be entered in a Best Trunk Contest and be eligible to receive a free Community Center rental.
Those wanting to offer candy at their home are asked to turn on their porch light, tape the Halloween page from the village newsletter on their front door and give out pre-wrapped candy. The village newsletter is available on the village website, village.newburg.wi.us.
