Vanished piers are topic for tour, talk
“Vanished Piers of Southern Lake Michigan” will be the topic of a bus tour and presentation Tuesday, May 13, at the Cedar Grove Public Library.
Rich Dykstra, a local author and historian, will lead a free bus tour from the library to the sites of the former piers at Amsterdam and Ronksville and other nearby areas of interest at 1 p.m.
At 2 p.m., Kathy Janisse Thompson, along with Dykstra, will give an in depth presentation about the two piers followed by a discussion time.
Advance registration is required for the bus tour but not the speakers program.
