Town of Port man dies after single-car rollover
A 57-year-old Port Washington man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night on Mink Ranch Road after he apparently lost control of the vehicle he was driving.
According to an Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office press release, at about 7 p.m. on Saturday, Robert Tolson was driving a white 2009 GMC Acadia east on Mink Ranch Road about half a mile west of Highway KK when it left the road, struck a culvert and rolled several times before coming to rest about 200 feet from the road in a farm field on the north side of the road.
Tolson was ejected. He was taken by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, where he died.
A witness reported seeing the vehicle driving erratically prior to the crash, the press release said.
Alcohol and road conditions were not factors in the crash, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The Port Washington Fire Department and Saukville Police Department assisted with the crash.
