Town budget goes to public hearing Nov. 17

A public hearing on the Town of Saukville’s 2021 proposed budget will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Town Hall, 3762 Lakeland Road.

Under the proposed budget, the property tax levy would increase slightly, from $441,525 to $445,462, and total spending would increase from $625,452 to $644,217.

The proposed tax rate would go up from $2.11 per $1,000 assessed valuation to $2.13. That means the owner of a $200,000 home would pay $426 in property taxes, up $4 from last year.

The budget can be reviewed in person at Town Hall from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays.
