Tickets on sale in Port for ‘Madagascar’

Tickets for “Madagascar” are on sale now.

The show will be performed in the Port Washington High School Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Friday, May 1, and 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2.

The show is staged by the Port Washington Parks and Recreation Department’s Port Youth Theatre, which is open to students in grades three to 10.

It is based on the Dreamworks film that follows Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo as they escape New York’s Central Park Zoo. Seeking “the wild,” they are shipped away, shipwrecked and end up in Madagascar, encountering King Julien and the Foosa.
