Tickets for the Polar Express are on sale now.
The Polar Express will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Port Washington Fire Station.
The annual event is patterned on the award-winning book by Chris Van Allsburg about a boy who travels to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.
Youngsters attending the event will carol, decorate cookies, enjoy a train display, write letters to Santa, make reindeer food, get their picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus and receive a special gift from Santa.
Children attending who are from Cedarburg and Grafton may ride to the Polar Express on a decorated school bus.
The bus leaves Grafton at 8:45 a.m. from the Multipurpose Senior Center, 1665 Seventh Ave. and leaves the event at 10:30 a.m.
The bus leaves Cedarburg at 10:15 a.m. from the pool, W68 N851 Evergreen Blvd. The bus will leave the event at noon.
Tickets are required and must be purchased in advance. They are $7 per person. There is no charge for children 2 and younger.
Tickets may be purchased at the Parks and Recreation Department offices in Cedarburg, Grafton and Port Washington, at Port Washington State Bank offices in the three communities or online at portwashington.recdesk.com. Tickets must be picked up by Dec 3.
