PAID OBITUARY

Thomas “Tom” Peterson, 80, of West Bend, formerly of Fredonia, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, Oct. 11, 2019.  

Tom was born in Milwaukee on Nov. 6, 1938.  

He was a dedicated, lifelong employee of Tecumseh Products in Grafton for 46 years.

After retiring, he and his wife Claire moved to the Town of West Bend where he enjoyed tinkering on many projects around his home and cottages. His greatest joys were his family and spending time with his many dear friends on Big Cedar Lake.

Those Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife Claire; two daughters, Diana Brunner of Random Lake and Bobbie Jo (Tom) Paulus of Fillmore; two stepchildren, Kristine (John Slattery) Kuesel and Steven (Julie) Kuesel, both of Glendale; 11 grandchildren, Shawn (Angie) Brunner, Brian (Crystal) Brunner, Scott (Liz) Brunner, Stacey (Dustin) Cline, Mitch (Whitney) Paulus, Joe Paulus, Valerie (fiancé Henry Halling) Paulus, Laura (Matt Appleby) and Jack (Abby Mydlowski) Slattery and Ryan and Matthew Kuesel; 14 great-grandchildren;  siblings Hazel (Timm) Bublitz  of Madison, Roger Peterson of Las Vegas, and Jerry (Gail) Peterson of West Bend; sister-in-law Dorothea (Richard) Barsness of Bethlehem, Pa.; former wife Jean (Marvin) Dickmann of Fredonia; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Norma Peterson; his son Jeff Peterson; his brother Wayne Peterson; and sister-in-law Pamela Peterson.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, at 6 p.m. at Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the service.

Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Port Washington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of your choice are appreciated by the family.
