Teresa Gosewehr

Teresa Gosewehr, of Madison, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 20. She was 61.

She was born on Aug. 22, 1957, in Milwaukee to Calvin and Muriel Sikkink Ford.  

Ms. Gosewehr grew up in Port Washington and graduated from Port Washington High School in 1975.

After high school, she completed court reporting training and in the early 1980s she moved to Madison, where she worked for many years as a court reporter until she retired in 2013.

She loved flower gardening, reading and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.  

Ms. Gosewehr was kind-hearted, generous and caring and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson.

Ms. Gosewehr is survived by her children Matthew and Gregory, both of Madison, and Stephanie (Justin) Urban of McFarland; grandson Jameson Urban; mother Muriel Ford of Port Washington; and sisters Debra Ford, Lori (Gary) Lanser, Patti (Dale) Rismeyer and Stacy (Scott) Zwicker.  

She was preceded in death by her father Calvin.

A celebration of life will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at the Eastside Club of Madison, 3735 Monona Dr., Madison.  

Memorials to the Dane County Humane Society are suggested.

Gunderson Funeral Home in Madison is assisting the family.
