Support pours in for woman injured in fire pit

A fundraiser Saturday at J’Sports Bar in Saukville drew a huge crowd to help Dawn Boeselager pay her medical bills after accidentally falling into her fire pit and being severely burned on July 31. The event, said co-organizer Debbie Bruggink, raised more than its $3,500 goal. Bruggink said Boeselager cried tears of joy after hearing how the event went. “She felt very blessed. She never knew she had that kind of a support system and that so many people who cared,” Bruggink said. Boeselager founded and runs the Tailwaggers911 dog rescue organization, which her family and friends are continuing to operate.
