The sun shines on Melapalooza
Mel’s Charities’ annual Melapalooza with food, music and softball was held in sunny summer weather Saturday, July 27, at Centennial Park in Grafton. Cedars III won the one-pitch wood bat tournament, going 4-1 and beating Rebellion for the title. Ozaukee County All-Stars beat the Grafton team, 18-17, in the Rod Wilterdink All-Star game. Bill Schueller and Brad Dorn were named co-most valuable players. The Grafton first responders beat the Cedarburg first responders, 11-7. The bands Midnight Train and Mazzaratti Band performed for the crowd. Above from left, Grafton senior players Keith Kassens hit and Mark Rennicke pitched. Top right, Richard Diedrick (left) and Ben Britton stood ready to serve, and Mike Behling and Norberto Matos posed for a picture. For more information, visit https://melscharities.org.
