Summer Nights LIVE kicks off

Summer Nights LIVE, a series featuring music, food, shopping and games in Community Park that started last year, was delayed but not canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic this year. The first event this year was held Friday, July 17. Belgium Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tara Williams said the crowd was a little smaller than usual and people were respectful in social distancing. Picnic tables were spread throughout the park to help with that effort. Clockwise from top left, Bill Foster of the Cedar Grove Belgium Broncos manned the grill; Sue Gagnon took a bite of a brat; the String Along Band performed; (from left) Megan Williams, 8, and Emma Heisler, 13, and Jonah Heisler, 17, enjoyed the festivities; Bill May stood ready to serve wine with proceeds benefitting the Chamber of Commerce; and Kathy Nock ate a burger washed down by a grape Jolly Good soda.
