Students to Walk4Water Saturday

Students from Cedarburg and Grafton high schools in the Global Scholars program are hosting a four-mile walk on Saturday, May 17, to raise awareness of the global water crisis.
Students are hoping to collect at least $7,500 in donations to fund a new well in a developing country with the support of the Rotary Club of Cedarburg-Grafton.
Walk4Water is a fundraising program hosted by Healing Hands International to support its water ministry.
According to the World Health Organization, approximately 2 billion people worldwide do not have access to clean drinking water. In addition, 842,000 die annually from water-related illnesses.
The walk will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Cedarburg High School Fieldhouse and will include two loops of two miles each, which is the average distance that people in developing countries walk each day to gather water for their families and communities.
There will be several water stations along the route, sponsored by local businesses and organizations.
There is no entry fee to participate in the walk, however, donations are encouraged at walk4water.hhi.org/cedarburg-wi-2025. Donations will also be accepted at the event.
