Students recognized as scholar-athletes

Two area students were recently recognized by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater as chancellor’s scholar-athletes.

Jill Cavanaugh of Port Washington, who is studying history education, is on the women’s cross country and track and field teams.

Drew Dlugopolski of Grafton, who is studying human performance, is on the football team.

To be recognized as scholar-athletes, students must have a 3.25 cumulative grade-point average or higher through the end of the 2022 fall semester, participated in a varsity sport for two years, be of senior academic status and have accumulated at least 90 degree credits.
