Sod Poodles win Texas League title

Ozaukee High School alumnus Owen Miller and the Amarillo Sod Poodles are the comeback kids.

The San Diego Padres’ Double-A affiliate won the Texas League Championship Series, three games to two over the Tulsa Drillers of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Sod Poodles fell behind two games to one before winning the next two.

Miller had three hits and a walk in the series.

In the division series against the Midland RockHounds of the Oakland A’s, the Sod Poodles fell behind two games to none before winning three straight.
