Soccer teams start with mixed results

Grafton High School’s soccer team is off to a 3-2 start to the young season.

The Black Hawks won two of their first three nonconference games. They lost to Catholic Memorial, 2-0, and beat Brown Deer, 8-1, and Sheboygan Falls, 5-2.

The Hawks lost their opening North Shore Conference game to Cedarburg, 4-0, and beat West Bend East, 3-0.

They host Racine Horlick on Thursday and play at Homestead on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Cedar Grove-Belgium and Ozaukee’s teams are still looking for their first victories.

The Rockets lost, 4-0, to St. Mary Central and 1-0 to Sheboygan Falls. They play at Manitowoc Roncalli on Thursday.

The Warriors lost to Oostburg, 11-0, Central Wisconsin Christian, 3-0, Howards Grove, 6-0, and New Holstein/Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, 2-1. They host Kohler on Thursday and St. Mary Catholic on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
