Small space gardens are topic for Sept. 22 talk

“Small Space Garden Design: Squeezing it all into Your Urban Garden” a virtual talk sponsored by Ozaukee Master Gardeners, will be presented by Kathy Jentz at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22.

Jentz, who specializes in small space and urban gardening, takes a do-it-yourself, hands-in-the-dirt approach that emphasizes practical advice while not ignoring the fun and humor of learning from mistakes.

Her presentation will concentrate on using clever methods for intensely gardening in tight areas and maximizing growing spaces.

Jentz, who with Teri Speight, recently published “The Urban Garden: 101 Ways to Grow Food and Beauty in the City,” is editor and publisher of Washington Gardener Magazine and hosts the GardenDC podcast.

She is also the editor of the Water Garden Journal, The Azalean and Fanfare.
