Singer/Songwriter Series concert set for Oct. 22

John smith with Dan Sebranek will perform a Wisconsin Singer/Songwriter Series concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at Unitarian Church North in Mequon.

Johnsmith is described as an often under-recognized artist. He has been touring for more than 30 years and is a favorite at festivals, clubs and house concerts. In addition to being a Kerrville New Folk winner, Johnsmith has released eight solo CDs to rave reviews, teaches songwriting and has served as a staff songwriter in Nashville.

Sebranek is a renowned singer, songwriter and musician who has shared the stage with Johnsmith, Michael Martin Murphey, Hans Mayer, Bill Miller, John Prine, Perry Jordan and Pure Prairie League.

In his early days, he performed primarily with the duo Runaway. Currently he performs solo acoustic music on tour, primarily in Wisconsin.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $29 at the door for adults and $12 for students. Discounts of $1 per donated food item to a maximum of $4 will be given at the door.

Tickets are available at North Shore Bank in Grafton and Vines to Cellar in Port Washington.

Due to the pandemic, only water will be available at the concession stand.

The church is at 13800 N. Port Washington Rd.
