Singer, songwriter to hold concert on Dec. 13
Singer and songwriter Anne Hills will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at Unitarian Church North in Mequon.
Doors to the church at 13800 N. Port Washington Rd. open at 7 p.m.
The concert is part of the Wisconsin Singer/Songwriter Series.
Hills is described as a beloved voice of the contemporary folk music scene.
Throughout her career, she has received honors and awards that include the 2012 Posi Music Award in Social Justice for the song “That Kind Of Grace,” cowritten by David Roth.
Her song “Follow That Road” was the title cut of the Martha’s Vineyard Songwriter Retreat and has been a certified folk classic since the late 1990s.
Hills’ performances are described as warm, lively and humorous.
Tickets to the concert are $17 in advance or $21 at the door, with discounts of $1 per donated food item to a maximum $4 given at the door. Student tickets are $10.
Tickets may be purchased at Vines to Cellar in Port Washington and North Shore Bank offices in Mequon and Grafton.
Coffee, water, teas and snacks will be available for purchase at the concert.
