Shoebox gifts sought for annual collection
A collection for toys, school supplies and personal care items to be included in shoebox gifts for children is being held through Nov. 25.
People are invited to pick up shoeboxes and fill them with a variety of suggested items or to donate items that will be included in shoeboxes.
The items will be distributed to children and families worldwide. Operation Christmas Child, which has been collecting and delivering shoebox gifts for more than three decades, is a national initiative and this year hopes to reach 12 million children.
The nearest collection points are at Christ Church in Mequon and Kettle Moraine Bible Church in West Bend.
