Seniors look forward to more dancin’ and ballin’

Port Washington High School senior Isabel Torcivia (top photo, seated at center), recently signed a letter of intent to continue her dance career at Viterbo University in La Crosse. Her parents Catherine and Paul sat next to her, and behind her stood (from left) Port High coach Hanna Maechtle, Viterbo coach Anna Weidner and Port High coach Becka Rindt. Below, while the ceremony was one pig short of a luau but included leis and at least one person in fitting attire, Grafton High School senior Brock Heffner made his plans to play Division I basketball at the University of Hawaii official by signing a letter of intent. Behind Heffner, giving the friendly “hang loose” sign often associated with Hawaii were his parents Christy and Brandon and Grafton High basketball coach Damon James. Heffner, a 6 foot, 7-inch forward who was selected to the North Shore Conference first team, will be asked to post up and step outside and drain three-pointers.
