School District Fine Arts Night to showcase student talent

Fine Arts Night will be held at the Northern Ozaukee District schools from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 16.

The evening will showcase a variety of students’ creative talents in a number of art forms.

From 5:35 to 6:30 p.m., the Ozaukee Dance Team will lead performances by elementary, middle and high school students showcasing their dance routines in the high school gym.

Between 5:45 and 7:15 p.m., the Ozaukee jazz band and Fermata Nowhere, the school’s a cappella group, will perform in the Fine Arts Center.

Musical performances will be presented in the middle and high school choir room from 5:35 to 7:15 p.m. The groups will perform short pieces intended to highlight individual talents.

Throughout the high school halls, atrium and commons areas, 2D and 3D art pieces will be displayed.

The eighth-grade creative audio media and speaking class will show some of its short movies throughout the night in the middle and high school library.

The Class of 2026 will sell handcrafted bowls and mugs in the atrium, while the tech-ed department will showcase its work in the commons. The department will also have pieces that can be purchased that night or ordered. Proceeds from the tech-ed sale will benefit the department’s new auto class that will begin with the 2023-24 school year.
