Santa comes to Saukville

Three-year-old Ella Favel was there to greet Santa when he arrived at Veterans Park in a fire truck bearing a basket of candy canes for Saukville’s annual tree lighting Sunday night (top photo). Leading students and others in the park in Christmas songs was Caity Martinez, a music teacher at Saukville Elementary School, and her daughter Nina (right). The Favel family — children Oliver and Ella and their parents Sammie and Peter — came well prepared for the crisp December weather with blankets.                                                   Photos by Sam Arendt
