Rummage sale is a success

The Village of Belgium’s annual rummage sale drew hundreds of people on May 13. It was the first time the new Community Park shelter was used. “That worked out great. We got a lot of good compliments from the public,” Director of Public Works Dan Birenbaum said. He said it rained from about 7 to 8 a.m., but it cleared and was nice for the rest of the day. Above, members of Boy Scout Troop 806, including (from left) Andrew Strong, Tristan and Kevin Olsen, Max Koopman and Miles Arndt, sold flowers at Community Park. Right, Tinley Biever, 7, and Berkley Biever, 5, carried a box of books.
